A parent asked for this in one sentence: she did not want her eight-year-old to be a consumer, she wanted her to know that the computer will do what she asks. That is the whole brief and this segment is built to deliver it. Your child gets told the truth about the tool, in words that will not need taking back later. It has read an enormous amount and it guesses what comes next. It is not thinking, it does not know things, and it has never seen the world. Then they prove it: they ask it about something they are a genuine expert in — their pet, their school, a game they play — and catch it inventing, in detail, with total confidence. Children find this hilarious, and once they have caught it themselves they check things for good. The middle of the segment is the flip. The same request, asked three ways, so they can see the difference between a wish and an instruction. Then a real build: they write a specification on paper, make the thing, tick their own rules off one by one, and give it to somebody. The question at the end is not "do you like it". It is "did it come out how you meant". The last module is for you. Nothing about you and nothing about anybody else, why that second half is the one that matters, what to say if something on screen upsets them, and a short list of house rules written in their handwriting that includes at least one rule for you. Every written page is addressed to the adult in the chair — the child never reads a word of it. The child never makes an account either: these services have real age minimums, you check them, you hold the sign-in, and you stay in the room. No model names, no prices, nothing that goes stale. Roughly twenty-five minutes a session, and the sessions end when the child is done.
